Step 12.

Let's go back to the View Cube and click on the small triangular icon on the bottom, to bring us back to the Front view.

Go back over the stack and click on the word Editable Poly to close the subdivision mode.

Then scroll down to Subdivision Surface and turn on Use NURMS Subdivision.

Uncheck Isoline Display.

We now have smooth corners and edges, also we have just added some more geometry.

Step 13.

Now we can right click and convert it to and Editable Poly again.

Step 14.

We are going to use the ViewCube again for the following steps.

Click on Front.

We will start by creating the number six on the dice.

Select Vertex subdivision mode and carefully click on these six vertices as you see in the image.

Click on one vertex, then hold the CTRL key down and click on the others.

Step 15.

Next pop over to the panel, scroll down to Edit Vertices and click on the small Settings icon for Chamfer.

Then in Vertex Chamfer Amount set to 5.

And press OK. (You may need to press the OK twice)

Step 16.

Click any where in the viewport to deselect the vertices.

Go back up to the ViewCube and click on the small triangular icon on the right hand side, this will change to the Right.

This time we will create the number five.

So hold the CTRL key and click on these five vertices as you see in the image.

Then go back over to the panel and click on the small Settings icon for Chamfer.

Then in Vertex Chamfer Amount leave it set to 5, and press OK.

Step 17.

Click any where in the viewport to deselect the vertices.

Back to the ViewCube and click on the small triangular icon on the right hand side to go to the Back View.

We are going to create the number 1 so select the centre vertex.

Then go back over to the panel and click on the small Settings icon for Chamfer.

Then in Vertex Chamfer Amount leave it set to 5, and press OK.

Step 18.

Click any where in the viewport to deselect the vertices.

Back to the ViewCube and click on the small triangular icon on the right hand side to go to the Left View.

We are going to create the number 2.

So hold the CTRL key and click on these two vertices as you see in the image.

Then go back over to the panel and click on the small Settings icon for Chamfer.

Then in Vertex Chamfer Amount leave it set to 5, and press OK.

Step 19.

Click any where in the viewport to deselect the vertices.

Back to the ViewCube and click on the small triangular icon on the right hand side to go to the Front View again. Once in the Front view click on the small rectangular icon on the top, that will bring us to the Top view.

We are going to create the number 3.

So hold the CTRL key and click on these three vertices as you see in the image.

Then go back over to the panel and click on the small Settings icon for Chamfer.

Then in Vertex Chamfer Amount leave it set to 5, and press OK.

Step 20.

Click any where in the viewport to deselect the vertices.

Back to the ViewCube and click on the small triangular icon on the bottom to go to the Front View again. Once in the Front view click on the small rectangular icon on the bottom, that will bring us to the Bottom view.

We are going to create the number 4.

So hold the CTRL key and click on these four vertices as you see in the image.

Then go back over to the panel and click on the small Settings icon for Chamfer.

Then in Vertex Chamfer Amount leave it set to 5, and press OK.

Go back to the Front view when you have finished.

Step 21.

Now we can pop over to the panel and select the Polygon mode.

Hold the CTRL key down and select all the polygons that we just chamfered for the numbers, orbit around and select them all on the other sides too.

Step 22.

We will add a Bevel modifier.

So we can go back over to the panel and click on the small Settings icon for Bevel.

In the Caddy; for Bevel Height we will set it to -3,and in Bevel Outline set it to -1,0.

Then press OK.

Do not release the polygons, carry on to the next step.
